The experienced and competent group of people over 50 is an untapped pool of resources we cannot risk wasting.
50 til 100 Network for better solutions had been launched under Oslo Innovation Week with great reception:
The experienced and competent group of people over 50 is an untapped pool of resources we cannot risk wasting. This group hold knowledge and wisdom, which may contribute solving the challenges in the world. In many ways mature people are more innovative than the younger, and according to a study of all businesses launched in the U.S. between 2007 and 2014, a 50-year-old founder is 1.8 times more likely than a 30-year- old founder to create the highest growth firms. In Norway 1 of 4 founders is above 50 of age and have a higher success rate than the younger.
Participants (people over 50+ ) were introduced for a network that enable them to connect with people in and around the startup scene. We will present investors and startups for each other, and offer an opportunity to investigate whether entrepreneurship can be an alternative senior career. In other words, our audience is people 50 + with an ambition to contribute to solving UN SDGs.
